Well, we are closer to owning a home than ever yet. This weekend we signed a purchase agreement for a house - not the one I mentioned in the last blog. This one is move-in ready, and despite some challenges will, I believe be a nice home for us. One challenge is the size. It was built in the 40s so is just generally smaller, which will take some getting used to. Another is that the boys will be sharing a bedroom for a while. There is room to make a fourth room in the basement, but we'll have to save up first to have an egress window put in. We really like the yard (huge, hermanito, almost like the last one). Best news? The kids won't have to change schools and we'll be in the same ward.
So at this stage we just need to see the results of the appraisal and the inspection. If all goes well, we close on the 27th.
We're not celebrating yet, because that would be (in the words of our realtor) the kiss of death.
